The Bung Hatta University Faculty of Teaching and Education Faculty Mathematics Study Program lecturer followed the peak of the Asian Mathematical Society activities at the Nusa Dua Bali Conference Center, Bali on July 25-29, 2016. The event was attended by more than 800 participants who came from 29 countries.
On this occasion, the Bung Hatta University Faculty of Teacher Training and Education sent 3 of his permanent lecturers, namely Dra. Rita Desfitri, M.Sc, Dra. Niniwati, M.Pd, and Yusri Wahyuni, S.Pd., M.Pd, to participate in AMC 2016 activities by becoming speakers and displaying posters.
Dra. Rita Desfitri, M.Sc. presents a paper with the title "Teachers' Approach in Teaching Derivative: Tasks and Assessment". Meanwhile Dra. Niniwati, M.Pd presented a poster with the title "The development of learning interactive math based media for students of VIII grade of Junior High School" and Yusri Wahyuni, S.Pd., M.Pd. which featured a poster entitled "The increase students' learning activities in elementary statistics course with cooperative learning".
On the sidelines of AMC's activities, Dra. Rita Desfitri, M.Sc. who is also the Chair of the Pmat Study Program at the Bung Hatta University also had the opportunity to attend the Asian Women Mathematician Forum which was held to discuss issues about the role of women in the world of mathematics globally, as well as the opportunities and challenges faced by women for a further career in the world of mathematics.
"We hope and are very supportive so that in the future, more and more Pmat lecturers will play an active role in international scientific meetings, to increase insight, networking and increase the professionalism of PMAT lecturers as a whole," he said. (** UBH Ubay-Humas)
